
Government of the Sindh alloted 44,000 Acres of land to Bahria Town Karachi ; Rangers
The Government to the Sindh allotted Thousand Acres of land to Bahria Town owner Malik Riaz ; according to a report placed by the Pakistan Rangers during a meeting of apex committee in May. On the other hand bahria town flatly rejected and rangers claim.
A letter issue on June by organisation’s corporate office in Rawalpindi to Maj Gen Bilal Akbar, Director of General of Ranger Sindh said; “Not a single Acer og government land has been alloted / Purchase by Bahria Town.”
According to a report which bahria town recently placed before the supreme court , the real estate firm owns 44,000 Acers land in different cities across the country.
A legal aide Malik Riaz told Dawn that the Rangers information was incorrect. He sepculated that someone might have passed incorrect informtion to Rangers. According to him, Bahria Town had purchase a total 7,631 Acers in karachi to date.
A senior official of bahria town, retired colone khalilur Rehman, said the Real estate firm had purchase the land from private owner at prices ranging from RS 850,000 to 6,000,000 (Six million rupees) per acer.
